Kimoohe:
A new upcoming
artist who goes by the name of Kimoohe has reached the airwaves with his
unique style of rapping fusing local slang with American ebonics. Before
leaving for the States in '98, he has endured a brutal life of violence
having to grow up in a bad neighborhood that is drug infested. Coming
back home in 2006 he has refused to being a statistic of his environment
in that saying Kimoohe has a dream to make a change in his community, he
is now a founder of Fourth Rich Entertainment and as Kimoohe is also a
very community oriented member volunteering into a lot of venues around
his resident that he has even started a foundation called First Brick
Clique a community service program that deals with inner-city children
in government schools ages 9 to 16 giving guidance to them on making the
right life choice decisions. With his organisation he has helped many
of his colleagues around his township to reach their goals too as he
has. He would like to come and perform for the young inmates in the
correctional confined facilities, with the 2 tracks "Murder Capital" and
"Cash Flow" which has skyrocketed this artist. The content of the
tracks are self explanatory, in an adequate hindsight the artist is
addressing young minds to rise and not to be proud of their ignorance of
not caring about the future let alone the past.
Bibliography:
Started off in a group bases in Uptown Manhattan called the Young Tigers.
Not
being signed alleviated him to take it serious spending his summer
holidays writing his raps. (At 12 years old)throughout junior High
school he used to go to open mic sessions, involving himself in mc battles
taking this new culture as his own.
He
started to set the bar high when he dropped his first underground
mixtape which was called From Harlem 2 Durban (Kwa Mashu most wanted) in
2008 since then has been making underground noise with his singles of
his mixtape one which we can all remember is "Swingin" from his second
mixtape made in 2010 called kick Off. The track made him a phenomenal
sensation depicting this upcoming rapper from one of the roughest
neighborhoods in the Republic of South Africa had to bring to the rap
game let alone the entertainment industry. Look out for more from this
talented young man as he shoots up in the road stardom star soon to be
born.
Look out for his mainstream mixtape that dropped Dec 16 titled
Durban Legend..

Lukie Luke:
Thabo Luke Nyathi whom you guys may know as “Lukie Luke” taken from my second name is a youngling in his teens and the product of a black/African woman and coloured man formally known as “parents”.
Just like every artist, I too believe I have something of worth to offer to the public. My interests recline in the fields of music, drama, art, fashion, yes food, money of course, literature, spoken word and God’s creation. These interests are what mould my musical craft. I’m what the masses may call a rapper, but to be quite frank, I don’t really like the term “rap or rapper” because it’s often associated with a lot of negativity and violence.
I’m just a kid with a dream and a pen, hoping to write my story on every heart. I possess what some may call poetic skills and they are evident in the house and hip-hop music I make. My number one inspiration would be God and all that he placed around me.

Molovski (Ski-Boi)
The 22 year-old storyteller who hails from Mamelodi (a township in Pretoria) and later migrated to the Pretoria Eastern suburb of Garsfontein, describes his talent as God-Given and goes further to quote fellow rap artist A.K.A. in saying "No plan B this is all I know".
"Ski-Boi", as he is affectionately known, started
writting
raps at the tender age of 9, however, he only decided to take his talent seriously when he was introduced to Cyphas in his early high school days. He had been getting good critisism from his close friends for his rap skills, but it was the props that he received from his high school seniors as a junior that made him realize that his rapping ability was a gift, as he stood out amoungst the juniors.
The Pretoria representative is closely associated with the likes of Skhokho GP, Ndukuman, Kay Kay and Alpo whom he considers as his brothers and has worked on several projects with the fore-mentioned, including Lokal Celebz which is a rap group that he is a part of.

He is currently working on his highly anticipated "Monopoly Money" mixtape which is
scheduled to drop in Spring of 2012,and on it he is working with similarly talented beat-makers Charlie Charles and Mercedes, boasting Donje, Kay Kay and Celow as his sound engineers. He impresses his crowd with his story telling ability as opposed to the usual punchline
rapping and he draws his inspiration and ideas from music genres Kwaito, Bubble Gum Pop and Bacadi (an emerging genre that is dominating in his hometown).
His inspirations include Kapa Kapa, Brenda Fassie, Chicco Twala, Mandla Spikiri and American rappers Jay Z and Mos Def. Judging by his talent and determination, this young man
is a force to be reckoned with and he might just reach the flagship of South African music sooner than he expects. Molovski, remember the name and don't forget where you read about him first.
